History
TLC
Tree Farm is located in the beautiful Hegins Valley approximately 50
miles Northeast of Harrisburg, PA. TLC has about 33,000 trees that are
grown under the management of TLC Tree Farm. Quality Douglas, Frasier,
and Concolor Firs, along with
Blue Spruce are all grown on our farm. TLC Tree Farm is a family run
operation. 2007 marks the 33rd. year of operation.
Retail Christmas Tree Lot
Choose and Harvest
Our
retail lot (see farm location) has a wide selection of fresh cut
Christmas trees for sale beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Retail lot Hours are:
Tuesday thru Friday 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Sunday
1 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Customers can choose and harvest a
tree directly from the fields during daylight hours. Hand saws are
provided. Price range from $3.00 a foot to $4.50 per foot for trees cut
on farm. A selection of live trees (having roots and ground) are
available. Prices are $10.00 per foot.
Our
Christmas Shoppe at the retail lot contains a wide variety of fresh
wreaths, tree stands, removal bags, and Christmas related items.

Tree
Tagging Days
Retail
customers can choose to select a tree in the fields. A tree tag is
available to tag the tree of your choice for Christmas. Tree tags are
available at the retail lot. Direction on completing the tags and maps
to provide guidance to the fields containing the variety of trees you
want are available at the Retail barn. Trees must be tagged in the
field before November 4th.
Wholesale
TLC
Tree Farm offers Wholesale cut
Christmas Trees. There is a minimum order of 25 trees. Prices include trees cut and wrapped. Prices are FOB
Hegins. Trees can be picked up at TLC Tree Farm or we can deliver on
orders up to 125-150 trees. Other transportation arrangements can be
made. 25% due to confirm orders. Balance due at time of loading.
Cut
Tree varieties available include: Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir
and Blue Spruce. Trees are
priced as Premium/Grade #1, #1 1/2, and #2. Sizes are from 5 foot through 10 foot.

Farm
Location
TLC Tree Farm is located
approximately, 50 miles N.E. of Harrisburg, PA. To visit TLC Tree Farm
take PA Interstate 81 to exit 112. After getting off I-81. Turn west on
PA Route 25. Travel approximately 3 miles. Watch for the TLC Tree Farm Sign (Set up in
September). Retail lot is a Green sided barn on left hand side of road,
1/10 mile past white church on top of hill.
If traveling from Hegins: At
intersection of PA Route 125 and PA Route 25, take PA Route 25 East approximately 3 miles. Retail
lot is located at Green Barn on right side of road.

Tree Varieties

Concolor Fir- Needles are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches
long. Bluish green in color. Most fragrant of all trees. Smells like
citrus. Needle retention is excellent.
Frasier Fir - Needles 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches long.
Needle color is dark green on top and whitish color on the underside.
Very good needle retention. One of the premier cut Christmas tree
available.

Douglas Fir - Needles are 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches
long. Needle color is medium green to bluish green. Very popular
Christmas tree. Very good needle retention.
Blue Spruce- Needles are 1 inch long and
very sharp. Needles range in color from dark green to silver blue.
Needle retention is good. Branches very stiff and strong. Best variety
to handle heavy ornaments.
